day it’s a new morning, new start and new lesson to learn from mistakes.
Honestly
speaking i was never interested in knowing what mistakes others did the way i
was excited to know about Prajakt's Mistakes.
His
lessons became words of wisdom for me. No other Filmmaker has so much to share
about experiences or rather they don't prefer to share.
"So
what was Chutiyapa no.2 you did during LASTBENCHERS movie?" I asked
Prajakt the moment we settled with our cutting chai.
"Actually
ye koi galti nahi hai. But I realise about it very late. Still I won't say ki
mujhe ye pata nahi tha, anjane me ho gaya, Don't blame me of that, blah blah
blah…" Prajakt said taking more time than usual to put everything before
me.
"Ok…but
what it was?" i persisted with same question.
"Newcomers
ko hire karo, par unhe jo apni raah se bhatakte nahi hai. Humari industry me
Professionals ki tulna me Strugglers aur Newcomers ki jamat bahot jada hai. 5-6
saal ka experience wale professionals’ bhi galti karte hai par Newcomers ki
tarah wo bhatakte nahi hai. unhe pata hota hai kis galti ko kaise sudhara jaye
ya kaise chupaya jaye" Prajakt replied.
"Isn't
that obvious??? Ye to har jagah hota hai aur is liye newcomers ko chance nahi
milta.. toh is me tumhari Galti kya tho??" I said, as I couldn't
understand what he meant.
"Maine
Newcomers ko galat judge kiya. maine zaruratmand ko kaam diya na ki kabil aur
deserving bande ko."
"How
to know ki kaunsa newcomer deserving hai? How to avoid this?" i continued
with my rapid fire rounds.
"Kisi
ki iccha pe mat jao, wo kitna struggle karne k liye tayar hai wo dekho. How
strongly he is ready to fight, bounce back after failing and keep on trying
till he achieve his dream. That’s equally important as how talented he
is." Prajakt explained.
He
also said "Mere sath problem ye tha ki main bhi newcomer tha aur newcomers
ko le k movie banana chahta tha. Is sabme meri thodi si lag gayi. Aur main nahi
chahta koi aur Filmmaker ye galti karey."
"Got
it. Won't happen next time. At least wo log to nahi karenge jo isse padhenge…”
I replied.
"Now
thats enough for day. Mujhe sirf galtiya hi nahi ginni, Aagey bhi badhna
hai" Prajakt said smiling at his comment.
