It's an old proverb "DoNt expect much from anyone" but it took me 2 years to understand this simple funda.
Being optimist I never let myself get dodge down by peoples reaction on what I had in my mind. I worked with 100 of new comers all at same time and this itself wasn't enough I screwed my life with plans for them.
Working on Lastbenchers movie I have experienced many ups & downs but Above all what I had preserved in my memories is the lesson I got from them.
Never expect too much from the people you are working with and never plan too much from them. I did both mistakes at a same time and since then I have been changing my palms like forever.
"Aaj ye log sikh jayenge, Aaj ye log Kal ka kaam pura kar denge, at least Aaj to bhi ye log sudhar jayenge" aisa main sochte raha aur nirash hote raha.
Har din subah uth k main apne aap se yehi baat karta ki "ek akhri chance to dena chahiye bad me bhalehi inhe nikal denge". par kabhi kuch kaam nahi aya.
Aaj tak main ye samajh nahi paya ki kyu mera koi plan successful nahi hota. And its not because I am a bad planner but because nobody took it as team's responsibility. What they all care about is their individual targets, aspirations & dreams.
I would insist to all new entrepreneurs and filmmakers to make sure your team is a team& not just collection of few talented individuals. Mark my words: You can never get time once spend on your team mates so keep a reality check before you invest.
