DO's & DONT's for PREVIEWS

We all are always excited for the big night of Preview but it happens very often that we skip few important things, over look few facts and underestimate some arrangements.
Now as a experienced Filmmaker we knew what to do and what not to do for your previews and we would like to share it with other aspiring people, so that they can benefit themselves.

5 DO's

1. First and foremost know your target audience and hit them with all your energy. Reason is very simple If you are serving Non-veg and person who is invited is pure vegetarian he won't enjoy the treat. This will reflect on your confidence level.
2. Do your best arrangements to make it a complete movie experience.
3. Do all the checking of sound, lights and projections in advance.
4. Make sure movie starts at right time, neither too late nor too soon.
5. Always record reviews of audiences after preview. This can be use as marketing tool to circulate positive news about your movie.

5 DONT's

1. Don't chose a marriage hall for Preview show. Those Halls where fans & lights are interconnected, because you don't want your audience to sit in humidity for more than 2 hours.
2. Don't keep the projection screen at eye level, it must be at least 4 feet above eye level of audience sitting in Hall. Screen at eye level is most inconvenient arrangement. Avoid it at any cost.
3. Don't skip Intermission break. If you want your audience to really enjoy the whole movie, you must give them enough time to loose themselves and get more comfortable.
4. Don't go for hall without echo proofing. It will be your nightmare if you avoid this instruction and believe me you don't want to experience it.

5. Don't expect much from audiences even if they are your targeted one. its simplest rule in Showbiz that nobody knows anything, you can't guarantee what your audience will love for sure. Expecting least from them is better for you.
